About Me

Hello, my name is Ashleigh and I am currently in my a second year of university studying a Bachelor of Education in Primary School Education and International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).My inspiration to become a primary school teacher in the first place came from a young girl whom I babysit, who suggested it to me when I was unsure of where I wanted to head after High School. So thanks to her, two years later I’m in a course which I love which proves to be challenging at times is overall a really great experience.

Besides from uni I work at a local primary school as a Before and After School Carer 2-3 times a week. My hobbies include going to the gym, babysitting, playing piano, reading and shopping with friends. In 2010  I will be travelling to Germany as part of my International Studies degree where I will be living there with a host family for a year. At the moment I’m a bit nervous about travelling alone to a country where I will not know anyone but I’m sure when I arrive and get settled there it’ll be a fantastic experience!
